Crosby fans don’t bash Ovechkin. It’s the Ovechkin fans who always bash Crosby whenever the opportunity arises. If Crosby fans do bash Ovy it’s because Ovechkin fans bash Crosby so much and the Crosby fans are only trying to make a point just like your question you posted. Crosby gets bashed for his OT winner. Ovechkin gets a free pass for his camera incident with that fan. Somebody said earlier in the week that if Crosby did that and not Ovechkin, the Ovechkin fans would bash Crosby to no end. The Ovechkin fans said no they wouldn’t. Me thinks yes they would and it’s evident with Crosby’s OT goal yesterday. Ovechkin fans will never admit to it though. Yes Ovechkin fans, keep giving your hero a free pass but keep dumping on Crosby for doing something either positive or negative, you will always feel the need to spin everything negative when it comes to Crosby.

because they do….and then the Ovie supporters call Crosby supporters band wagon fans….ha i can remember half of Washingtons arena was filled with Pens fans before Ovechkin…hmmmm

Both sides have their critics who are shallow as well as valid.

With Crosby you’ll have the supporters making the “he’s so well-rounded” arguments, but then you’ll also have all the shallow “puck bunnies” who think Crosby’s a pretty boy.

With Ovechkin you’ll have all his substantial defenders as well, along with the shallow people who are only drawn to his rock-star persona and wacky antics.

Ragging on Ovie’s defense is a lot different than going “LOL OVIE SUCKS HE’S GAY, MORE LIEK BLOVECHKIN.” Which seems to be what a lot of “Cindy” haters do.

It’s true that Crosby gets bashed more in general, i.e. crybaby, whiner, questionable sexual orientation, etc. That junk is (mostly) unfounded. However, you don’t see anywhere as many critics of his game and skills as you do for Ovechkin. By his accomplishments and game-wise, Ovechkin doesn’t get much respect. People say that he’s a selfish puck hog, can only score goals, can’t backcheck, is guilty of dirty play, and of course is missing a Stanley Cup ring and now the gold medal that Crosby now has.

They’re both great players and are the best we have in our era. End of story. I’m sick of seeing this debate go on and on. Naturally, I prefer Ovechkin because he’s on my team. If you’re confused about wherey my loyalties lie, let’s just say I lost a stupid bet with a well-known Ovi-basher. And ironically I have Sidney Crosby to thank.

Well that’s because I don’t feel Ovy gives you any reason to bash him. Crosby on the other hand irks many people. And I agree with Desert Dogs I’ve heard that crap about Ovy’s defense many times. He DOES play defense. Ask Jaromir Jagr.

Penguin fans are the worst the last couple years.

If Geno and Sidney weren’t on the Pens would Jordon be able to lead the league in points?

If Fleury wasn’t scored upon so frequently would he have more shutouts?

Even though any team could have signed him, would we be able to trade Sykora for Gaborik?

YES! i absoluteley hate it, its like all the puck bunnies, and bandwagons in one.

And to chris yes i did see that game, and how was it an upset? Flames were bound to win that game.
